CAUTION: NEW PROCEDURE
Entry Visa: Starting from 1 July 2013 EU citizens must acquire a visa to travel to Senegal. The Senegalese authorities have entrusted the company SNEDAI IT management practices required of biometric visas. Applications must be undertaken on the site of SNEDAI (http://www.snedai.sn/fr/), on which you will be able to pay even the perceptions consular (50€ for a visa to 90 days) by credit card (it is possible to skip this step, to pay by card or cash on arrival at the border). Once you have completed the registration process and payment, the applicant will receive a notice containing a “pre-seen” (or prior authorization to’ entry in Senegal, with a code number and bar) with which it can come to our office diplomat- Consular Office (to the Embassy of Italy in Rome or the Consulate General in Milan) to store the biometric data (fingerprints and photos) and to obtain an entry visa. For residents in countries where diplomatic offices- consular Senegalese will not be authorized to issue visas (only in the offices 13 Countries, referred 5 in Europe, will be equipped with the necessary equipment *) the “pre-seen” enough to be an asset as. The additional formalities for the issuance of visas can be completed on arrival at the border. Even the residents of the countries with the consular offices authorized to hold biometric data will eventually complete the practice of visa on arrival in Senegal, but the same Senegalese authorities advise against it because the waiting time at the counters “Seen airport” will, likely, much longer than those reserved to those already with a visa. The collection of biometric data will be required for each visa application (so even for those who have got previous visas), with the exception of certain categories, including the handicapped (which will, however, provide a medical certificate) and children under 12 age. The physical presence of the applicant at the counter of diplomatic- console will be needed for these categories of people.
